**Accenture Increases Revenue Growth Outlook**
Accenture (ACN) has updated its financial projections for fiscal year 2025, now anticipating revenue growth between 4% and 7% in local currency, an increase from the previous forecast of 3% to 6%. The company has adjusted its GAAP earnings per share (EPS) guidance for fiscal year 2025 to a range of $12.43 to $12.79, revised from the earlier range of $12.55 to $12.91. Accenture remains committed to returning at least $8.3 billion to shareholders through dividends and share buybacks.
For the second quarter, Accenture projects revenues between $16.2 billion and $16.8 billion, reflecting a 5% to 9% growth in local currency.
**First Quarter Performance:**
In the first quarter, Accenture reported a GAAP net income of $2.32 billion, marking an increase from $2.01 billion in the same period last year. Earnings per share rose to $3.59, a 16% rise from $3.10. This surpassed the expectations of 20 analysts surveyed by Thomson Reuters, who predicted the company would achieve $3.42 per share, excluding special items.
Revenues for the first quarter reached $17.7 billion, showing a 9% rise in U.S. dollars and an 8% growth in local currency compared to the first quarter of fiscal 2024. Analysts had forecasted average revenues of $17.13 billion. Accenture recorded new bookings of $18.7 billion for the quarter, comprised of $9.2 billion in consulting bookings and $9.5 billion in managed services bookings.
