Alstom has announced that it will be providing the Métropole Européenne de Lille with an additional fifteen new-generation 52-meter automated metro trainsets, with the contract valued at approximately 210 million euros. These additional trainsets will augment the initial order of 27 trains made by MEL, bringing the overall total of new-generation metros to 42. The design and assembly of these cutting-edge trains will be conducted in France. According to Alstom, this contract was finalized in the third quarter of their fiscal year 2024/25.
