Parallel processing is essential for achieving a rich, dynamic mix. By duplicating an audio track and processing each copy with varying intensities, you can enhance the track's presence while maintaining its natural dynamics. This technique is a cornerstone of modern music production.
Parallel Aggressor embodies this approach. Instead of routing audio to external buses, it manages parallel tracks internally, optimized for maximum impact from the start.
“Spank” provides a heavily compressed version of your track. “Heat” delivers a heavily saturated version. “Dry” is your original, unprocessed audio. Adjust the duplicates to taste, then blend all three to extract the fullest sonic potential from your track.
FEATURES:
- Parallel Engine 1: Spank
- Offers punchy parallel compression.
- Adjust effect amount with the “Spank” wheel.
- Use style buttons (Extra Punch, Extra Smack, Sidechain Filter, Mono) to refine the algorithm.
- Blend with your signal using the volume slider.
- Parallel Engine 2: Heat
- Provides warm, analog-modeled saturation.
- Set saturation intensity with the “Heat” wheel.
- Control the engine with style buttons (Extra Hot, Tone, HP Filter, LP Filter).
- Adjust the blend with the volume slider.
- Auto Gain:
- Engage to ensure the combined output level matches the input/dry level, allowing for consistent output while experimenting with mix balances.
- Mix Balance:
- Adjust the balance of the three parallel signals using the volume faders in the center of the interface.
- Mixing with Meters:
- Use the left and right meters to gauge the appropriate amount of “Spank” and “Heat.” Aim for peaks before the orange line.
- Soloing:
- Use the solo buttons to monitor each parallel signal individually for precise adjustments.
- Display Options:
- Choose between black, gray, or white backgrounds.
