Cyber Security from the Ground Up

1. Information security
2. The main information security threats
3. Three aspects of information security
4. The concept of information warfare
5. Formation of cyber troops

Information Security
There is no single universally accepted definition of the concept of information security.
Sometimes the concept of information security is defined as a situation in which the confidentiality, completeness and availability of information is ensured (this definition reflects the issue of information security).
The concept of information security is always related to a specific subject (acting) in certain conditions (environment) (for example, information security of any system or organization).
In general, safety is a specific state of the subject and can be defined by specifying the relevant quality characteristics. When talking about security, a certain objective function (interests) of the subject's existence is assumed, and security is understood as the subject's ability to perform this function.
The concept of information security is defined as follows: Information security is a situation in which the information interests of the parties involved in information interaction are ensured.
Each social entity gives a meaning to the concept of information security in accordance with its own interests. Information security of the state is a state of society in which individuals, society and the state are reliably protected from natural and artificial threats to the deliberate deformation of public and individual consciousness, the destruction of the information infrastructure important for its existence.

Information security of society refers to the situation that ensures the formation and development of the information environment of society in the interests of citizens, organizations and the state. The content of the concept of information security of a person includes the issues of ensuring the right to receive information, reliable protection of his personal data and not preventing the free formation and development of the information he receives from various sources.
Information security at the organizational level includes issues of protecting information from unauthorized access, ensuring its availability and completeness. Information protection is a set of measures aimed at ensuring information security.

The main information security threats
A threat (in a broad sense) is a potentially possible situation, event, action (or inaction), condition, process, etc. that could harm someone's interests.
An attempt to carry out a threat in information security is called an attack (cyber attack), and people who make such attempts are called malicious. They characterize the threat by two parameters - the probability of the occurrence of the threat and the damage caused when the threat occurs. Often threats arise as a result of errors (gaps) made during the design, creation or operation of an information system (for example, errors in software).
The number of threats to information security is quite large and they are divided into different classes. They divide threats into two according to their reasons of occurrence, namely natural and human-caused. Artificial threats are divided into unintentional and intentional threats.
Examples of natural threats are natural disasters and accidents (fire, flood, earthquake, etc.) with equipment malfunctions and accidents can be given.
The following types of artificial threats can be indicated:
