Secco Strings offers customizable recordings of Viola, Violin, Cello, and Bass with three articulations (Pizzicato, Peck, and Bounce) and three Play Modes (Single Notes, Rhythm, and Texture). You can import up to four sets of your samples via Drag 'n' Drop (compatible with Kontakt 6). Two XY Pads allow dynamic sound customization. The Main XY Pad controls parameters like Panning, Direction, Formant, and Octave, while the Tone XY Pad adjusts tone based on playing styles (Bridge, Fingerboard, Finger, Pick).

In Single Notes Mode, assign up to 8 steps with unique instruments and articulations, adjusting volume, panning, direction, formant, and octave independently for each step. Rhythm Mode plays steps sequentially, with adjustable Step Count and Time-Division, and Jitter for added realism. Texture Mode cycles through steps at a user-defined speed, creating swarms, chaos, or ensembles with random movements.

Features include:

  • 3 Play Modes (Single Notes, Rhythm, Texture)
  • 4 Instruments (Viola, Violin, Cello, Bass)
  • 4 User-defined sample slots
  • 3 Articulations (Pizzicato, Peck, Bounce)
  • Global controls for Attack, Decay, Low Cut, and Saturation
  • Easy navigation with a single-page GUI
  • 8 convolution reverbs with adjustable parameters
  • Preset System for saving and loading settings
  • Ready-made presets for each mode
  • Up to 15 assignable steps per mode
  • Fully automatable XY pad for control
  • Dedicated Tone Control pad for crossfading between layers
  • Modulate Tone using proximity and velocity sensors
Version 1.2 updates:

  • Improved NKA drag and drop functionality
  • Clicking on a step in the central panel enables sound preview
