Residential property prices in Croatia experienced a notable annual increase in the third quarter, as revealed by preliminary data from the statistical office released on Friday.
The house price index advanced by 12.3% year-on-year, building on a 10.0% rise observed in the second quarter. This marks the second consecutive quarter of accelerated house price inflation.
This substantial upsurge represents the most significant increase since Q2 2023, during which house prices surged by nearly 14%.
Specifically, the price of newly constructed dwellings increased by 4.4%, while the cost of existing homes climbed by 13.5%. The City of Zagreb saw a 7.7% rise in property prices compared to the previous year.
Quarter-on-quarter, house prices rose by 2.4%, following a 4.3% sequential growth in the second quarter.
