Tourist arrivals and overnight stays in Croatia experienced substantial growth in November compared to the same period last year, as reported by the statistical office on Thursday. The data revealed a significant increase of 20.5% in tourist arrivals, reaching a total of 444,000 visitors. Similarly, overnight stays in commercial accommodation saw a 20.1% rise, totaling 989,000 nights.
Domestic tourism showed remarkable growth, with visits from local tourists rising by 30.7% to 203,000, and overnight stays increasing by 30.8%, amounting to 390,000 nights. Meanwhile, the number of foreign tourists arriving in Croatia increased by 13.0% to 241,000, with their overnight stays also up by 14.1% to 599,000.
Among foreign visitors, Slovenian tourists represented the largest group, contributing to 15.3% of the total overnight stays. Additionally, the City of Zagreb emerged as the top destination, accounting for 18.9% of the total tourist nights recorded in November.
