Endeavour Silver Corp. (listed as EXK on the New York Stock Exchange and EDR.TO on the Toronto Stock Exchange), a Canada-based mining company, announced a decrease in gold and silver production for the fourth quarter. Despite this, the firm achieved an increase in its annual gold production.
During the fourth quarter ending December 31, 2024, the company produced 9,075 ounces of gold, which is a slight decrease from the 9,608 ounces produced in the same quarter of the previous year. This reduction is mainly attributed to decreased throughput, although it was somewhat mitigated by higher gold grades mined at the Guanaceví and Bolanitos sites and improved gold recovery rates.
Silver production in the same period dropped to 824,529 ounces compared to 1,406,423 ounces in the prior year. This decline is linked to a 25 percent reduction in throughput, resulting from diminished operating capacity at the Guanaceví site following a trunnion failure in August.
For the entire year, gold production rose to 39,047 ounces, surpassing the 37,858 ounces produced in 2023. Meanwhile, annual silver production fell to 4,471,824 ounces from 5,672,703 ounces the previous year.
Endeavour Silver is scheduled to release its annual financial results on March 11.
