Essentra plc has released a trading update for the fiscal year 2024 ahead of its full-year results announcement scheduled for March 19, 2025. The company projects that its adjusted operating profit for fiscal 2024 will align with both its previous guidance and the current expectations of analysts. Group revenue for the entire year is anticipated to increase by 0.3% when adjusted for constant currency. The acquisition of BMP contributed to a 3.0% year-on-year increase in revenue, which was counterbalanced by a 2.7% decline in like-for-like revenue. Foreign exchange fluctuations affected the Group's overall revenue by around 5%, with the reported Group revenue expected to fall 4.4% below the previous year’s figures.

In the fourth quarter, Group revenue declined by 2.9% at a constant currency rate compared to the corresponding period last year, when adjusted for working days. The year-on-year reduction in like-for-like revenue was 3.7%.
