Expedia Group (EXPE) has announced the appointment of Scott Schenkel as its new Chief Financial Officer, effective Thursday. Julie Whalen will continue in her role as CFO until February to facilitate a seamless transition.
In his new capacity as CFO, Schenkel will lead Expedia Group’s global finance organization and will operate out of Seattle, directly reporting to Ariane Gorin, the Company’s Chief Executive Officer.

Schenkel's most recent role was as Interim CEO of eBay Inc. from September 2019 until April 2020. He previously served as eBay's Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer from 2015 to 2019. Before assuming the CFO role at eBay, he was Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of eBay Marketplace. Schenkel initially joined eBay in 2007 as Vice President of Global Financial Planning and Analytics.
