France experienced a continued decline in producer prices in November, according to data released by the statistical office INSEE on Friday.
On an annual basis, domestic market producer prices fell by 5.2 percent, slightly less than the 6.0 percent drop observed in October. This marks the twelfth consecutive month of declining prices.
The data indicate a 14.7 percent decrease in prices for mining, quarrying products, energy, and water, following a previous drop of 16.8 percent. Similarly, prices for coke and refined petroleum products plummeted by 13.2 percent, and manufactured product prices saw a slight decline of 0.5 percent.
Month-over-month, producer prices in the domestic market rose more rapidly by 3.2 percent in November compared to a 0.9 percent increase in October.
The annual decrease in overall producer prices moderated to 3.8 percent, down from 4.9 percent. On a monthly basis, total producer price inflation accelerated to 2.7 percent in November, up from 0.8 percent in the prior month.
