Have you ever wondered?
As someone who loves playing video games, I usually find that one game that fulfills my passion with it's twisted plot and stuff like that. And sometimes I find games that makes me ask myself if I am really a hero, or just a villain doing stuff for his own, and if those I am fighting against are the true heroes and the good guys or not. As an example for that, it seems to me that Half-Life 2 was one of the most well known series with it's plot twist and it's iceberg, the story itself made me ask these questions. Both Gordon and Dr.Breen are trying to save the whole world, but both of them are pawns to the Gman, they we still don't know his intension and what he wants. Wallace Breen has sold his people so he could save them from a genocide, while Gordon Freeman fought against the combine to give liberty to his people. Both of them are trying to save his man kind, and escape a genocide, but the game itself introduced Dr.Breen as a villain who sold his man-kind to get a reputation by the combined. It is indeed what made me think, if Gordon and Wallace are both pawns in Gman's hands, then why did he sacrifice Wallace and ask Freeman to kill him? What is Gman hiding? Is the main villain of Half Life 2 just a normal bystandard, while the real villain was the one we used to work with? Are we the villains just because we are a game and a tool for Gman? Will we be the real massacre and reason of Human extinction? All of these questions comes to my mind since the game hasn't yet gotten a final part, that could tell us the ending of the game.
Can you tell us more about one of the games you have played and made you ask these questions?
