GEN Restaurant Group, Inc. (GENK), a California-based chain known for its casual dining establishments, announced on Tuesday that Co-CEO Jae Chang will be stepping down from his position, effective January 8, 2025. Despite his resignation, Chang will remain a member of the board.

David Kim, currently serving as Chairman and Co-CEO, will assume the role of sole CEO while maintaining his position as Chairman. On Monday, the company's shares closed at $7.31, marking a 1.75% decline on the Nasdaq Global Select Market.
