Hong Kong's unemployment rate remained consistent during the September to November period, according to labor force statistics released by the Census and Statistics Department on Tuesday.
The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate held at 3.1 percent for September through November, unchanged from the August to October timeframe.
The statistics further indicated that the underemployment rate remained steady at 1.1 percent.
Without seasonal adjustment, the unemployment rate decreased slightly to 3.1 percent from 3.2 percent.
The total number of unemployed individuals was reported as 119,700, a slight decrease from 120,700 during the August to October period.
"The labor market is expected to maintain overall stability in the near future. Nonetheless, certain sectors may face challenges due to increased global economic uncertainties and rising trade tensions," stated Chris Sun, the Secretary for Labor and Welfare.
