📕HOW CAN I UPLOAD EBOOKS ON A PUBLIC HOSTER 📕

We are love the open pdf archives, and since we are all searching sometimes for books which we don't want to pay for, it is just fair, to give other users your books back.

One of many example are students, who are not having the money for books, but getting books from those site like from the O'Neil collection.

So whoever asked himself "How can i upload books to help other people?", is reading this tutorial till the end.

⚠️ Disclaimer : This tutorial is at the border from legal to illegal, because it is illegal sharing of paid files.

⚙️ SETUP

▪️VPN
▪️Exiftool
▪️A book

👉 VPN

To use a vpn, we don't want to log our IP on the server which we want uploading our books.

👉 Exiftool

A exiftool is in our case the ass saver to first cover our identical traces, and to view PDF details for the PDF details section.

To download the exiftool, go to https://exiftool.org/

1️⃣ Get a PDF ready. In Linux or Windows just type :

exiftool book.pdf

It will display information about filesize, pages, ISBN, create date. The problem values are the UUID's which are associated to each book differently (for obviously identifying rippers).

To clear a PDF use :

exiftool -all= book.pdf

And yes, a space between the PDF name! (Rerun first command to check the clean pdf)

2️⃣ Go to https://library.bz/main/upload/ and login with :

Username: genesis
Password: upload

Then click on browse, select a book and upload it. After uploading finishes, you will be asked to add metadata to the book.

3️⃣ Filling out the information

Just copy the ISBN from amazon and click on fetch. Save your changes. If you are sure, the book is not sold officially, like on of my, i just leave it empty and fill out, what i can.

If you need a special guide for the metadata : https://wiki.mhut.org/content:bibliographic_data
Related Upload Guide : https://wiki.mhut.org/content:bibliographic_data

❗️Remember : The more information you put, the easier your book can be found.
