According to preliminary data released by Statistics Iceland on Friday, taxable wages and salaries in Iceland experienced growth in November compared to the preceding month, driven mainly by the December bonus.
Wages and salaries saw a 9.0 percent increase from October and a 6.4 percent rise from the same period the previous year.
The total taxable wages for November amounted to ISK 183.7 billion, up from ISK 168.5 billion in October. In November 2023, the total was ISK 172.7 billion.
During this period, the workforce comprised approximately 216,300 employees working under about 22,400 employers.
