John Wood Group (WDGJF.PK, WG.L) has secured a major new contract to deliver long-term maintenance solutions for both onshore and offshore assets in the Gippsland Basin, Victoria, managed by Esso Australia. This extensive contract is set to begin in January 2025. According to Wood, the agreement was secured through a competitive bidding process and is expected to generate approximately 250 jobs in Victoria by early 2025.
Under this contract, Wood will offer maintenance services and shutdown support aimed at enhancing the operational efficiency of the Gippsland Basin Joint Venture's offshore assets located in the Bass Strait, as well as the Longford and Long Island Point facilities.
