Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. (KTOS) announced on Tuesday that it has secured a contract valued at $34.86 million from the U.S. Marine Corps, with modifications from a previous agreement. This expanded contract will support the integration of XQ-58A Unmanned Aerial Systems' mission systems and subsystems for the Marine Air-Ground Task Force Unmanned Aerial System Expeditionary (MUX) Tactical Aircraft (TACAIR).
Since 2022, Kratos and its partner, Northrop Grumman, have been collaborating with the U.S. Marine Corps on the MQ-58 Valkyrie variant. The companies recently showcased advanced collaborative capabilities as part of the Penetrating Affordable Autonomous Collaborative Killer Portfolio (PAACK-P) program. This program is set to transition to the MUX TACAIR project in 2025, according to a statement from the company.
