thEQblue — Paramount MP Mastering EQ offers twelve precise variations on the analog theme, all condensed into one equalizer.
The equalizer stands as one of the oldest and most revered tools in sound processing, with its primary function being the correction or enhancement of specific frequencies through boosting or cutting.
Over the span of a century, engineers have crafted numerous equalizers, with some achieving legendary status, such as our own thEQorange. Among these, the parametric equalizer (PEQ), first perfected by Massenburg in 1972, has emerged as the most popular version in recording and post-production. Offering maximal flexibility with just three controls, the PEQ is a formidable tool, serving as the trusted ally of audio engineers in their pursuit of sonic perfection. However, as Spidey (and Voltaire) sagely remind us, "With great power comes great responsibility." When wielded by an inexperienced or budget-constrained software engineer, the PEQ can inadvertently degrade the quality of your work.
We're confident that you'll relish exploring our dozen variations of blue, now refined by MAAT, and will discover your preferred sonic signature. Additionally, we've incorporated subtle yet significant enhancements, such as the freedom to assign Sections to either stereo (left/right) or sum/difference (L+R/L-R) simultaneously, and the capability to "group" all Sections, facilitating global gain adjustments without disrupting the individual Section relationships.
