Macy's Inc. (M) has announced the closure of 66 stores that do not fit into its future plans. These closures are a component of the Bold New Chapter strategy, launched in February 2024, which aims to restore the company to sustainable and profitable sales growth. The strategy involves shutting down around 150 underperforming stores over a three-year span while focusing investments on 350 key Macy's locations through fiscal year 2026.
