Modine Manufacturing Company (MOD), a leader in thermal management solutions based in Wisconsin, has announced its plan to establish a new facility in Chennai, India, by mid-2025. This strategic move aims to meet the increasing demand for essential cooling solutions tailored for data centers.
The Chennai facility will manufacture data center cooling equipment under the Airedale by Modine brand, as well as cooling modules for stationary power generation systems. This expansion comes on the heels of recent facility openings in Calgary, Canada, and Bradford, UK, reflecting the rising global demand within the data center sector.
The Chennai location will mark Modine's second operational site in India, complementing its 2007-established Modine Thermal Systems India, which focuses on designing and producing cooling modules for use in off-highway vehicles, commercial transportation, and power generation equipment.
As of Tuesday, MOD shares are trading at $122.51, showing a slight decrease of 0.22% on the New York Stock Exchange.
