In November, the Republic of North Macedonia saw an 18.2% decline in building permits compared to the same period last year, totaling 260 permits, according to the State Statistical Office data. The projected total value of the construction projects authorized by these permits also decreased significantly, by 63.8% year-on-year, to MKD 4.25 million. The decline in expected value is primarily attributed to a substantial permit issued in the previous year for constructing a long-distance interconnectivity pipeline between North Macedonia and Greece, as reported by the statistical office. Of the total building permits issued in November, 155 were for buildings, 59 were for civil engineering structures, and 46 were for reconstructions.
