In November, the visitor arrivals and overnight stays in the Republic of North Macedonia remained relatively stable when compared to the same period last year, according to data released by the statistical office.
The total number of tourists visiting the country was 66,701, showing no change from the figures recorded a year prior. Notably, domestic tourism saw a slight decline of 0.6 percent, totaling 21,045, while the number of international visitors experienced a modest increase of 0.4 percent, reaching 45,656.
The overall number of overnight stays showed a slight increase of 0.5 percent year-on-year, amounting to 138,226 nights. Of these, 38.6 percent were attributed to domestic tourists, whereas foreign tourists accounted for 61.4 percent.
For the period from January to November, there was an 8.3 percent rise in the total number of tourists, alongside a 5.3 percent increase in overnight stays compared to the previous year.
