Description:
Facing charges that could lead to up to ten years in prison, the computer hacker known as Electron appeared in court today. This is the first computer crime case in Australia. The computer hackers in this film have chosen to remain anonymous and have been replaced by actors. However, their words were taken from audio interviews and police wiretapped recordings. "Tell me in your own words what pleasure do you get from hacking into computers overseas? It's not for any personal gain or anything, just the pleasure of hacking into the system. I mean, once you're in, you often get bored and even though you still have access to the system, you may never get back in. It's a challenge and your ego grows from what you're doing while other people are also trying and failing."
