Nordex SE (NRDXF), a renowned German manufacturer of wind turbines, announced on Monday that it has secured orders for 36 N163/6.X turbines, designated for Canadian projects. While the identities of the customers and specific wind farm locations remain confidential, the Nordex Group is slated to deliver the Delta4000 series turbines in the spring of 2026, with installations planned for sites in Nova Scotia, Canada.
These late-December orders specify that each turbine will feature a nominal capacity of 7 MW and will be mounted on 118-meter steel towers to ensure optimal performance during Nova Scotia's cold winter conditions. Additionally, some units will be equipped with the Nordex Advanced Anti-Icing System to mitigate ice accumulation on the rotor blades.
According to Manav Sharma, Nordex Group’s CEO for Division North America, the company reached a significant milestone by surpassing the 1 GW sales mark in North America for 2024, reflecting a remarkable 350% growth year-over-year. This achievement underscores the Nordex Group's robust expansion within the North American market.
As of Friday, NRDXF shares closed at $12.40.
