OraSure Technologies, Inc. (OSUR) announced on Tuesday the expanded approval of its OraQuick HIV Self-Test, now including individuals aged 14 years and older. Previously, the test was approved for those aged 17 and older. As per the latest data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), it is estimated that 19% of new HIV diagnoses in the United States occur in young individuals aged 13 to 24. Despite this, only 6% of high school students have ever been tested for HIV.
