OwnHammer Rock-Box cabinets are exclusive enclosures tailored solely for impulse response capture, designed in-house to meet diverse sound design objectives. They aim to achieve optimal fidelity and musicality across various styles and applications while offering a blend of familiarity and innovation. These cabinets maintain a neutral character, allowing the distinctiveness of different gear components like speakers, guitars, pickups, amps, and playing styles to shine through clearly. Unique construction techniques were employed to deliver a clean low end, rich midrange, silky high end, and exceptional note articulation throughout the frequency range.

These cabinets are modeled after the Celestion G12M Creamback (T5864) from 2013 (23GY) with a 12-inch diameter and 8-ohm impedance, featuring a resonance frequency (Fs) of 75 Hz (11914 cone).

The feature set includes 40 distinct multi-mic mixes captured through professional-grade signal chains:
  • Classic Cab: 5 mic mixes, 5 positions each (25 IRs)
  • Blend Cab: 1 mic mix, 5 positions (5 IRs)
  • Modern Cab: 1 mic mix, 5 positions (5 IRs)
  • Tall Vintage Cab: 1 mic mix, 5 positions (5 IRs)
No post-processing has been applied to any component of this library, preserving the natural characteristics of the gear, including its imperfections and nuances.

The file format is Wave Audio (.wav), suitable for convolution reverb loaders in recording software and hardware units. The IR files are:
  • 24-bit resolution
  • Minimum phase transformed
  • 208 milliseconds in Mono configuration
