Sonic Automotive, Inc. (SAH), a prominent player in the automotive retail sector, announced on Thursday the acquisition of Audi New Orleans from the longstanding Bohn Brothers Automotive Group in Louisiana. Financial specifics of the transaction remain confidential.

The newly acquired establishment is situated in Metairie, Louisiana, and caters to the broader New Orleans region.

This acquisition extends Sonic Automotive's extensive portfolio of automotive brands, marking its 10th Audi dealership and making its inaugural entry into the Louisiana market. With this addition, Sonic Automotive now operates 108 franchise dealerships nationwide.

Audi New Orleans, which commenced operations in June 2009, carries forward the century-old legacy of automotive sales and service initiated by George Bohn, Sr. in the New Orleans area. Kerrigan Advisors facilitated the acquisition process for the Bohn Brothers Automotive Group.

On Wednesday, SAH closed marginally down by 0.03 cents or 0.04% at $67.20 on the New York Stock Exchange. Pre-market trading shows a further decrease of $1.79, bringing it to $66.
