Found Sound Nation presents a sample pack of Amazigh traditional instruments, featuring loutar (talotart) and ribab, played by producer Aziz Ozouss. The pack includes athletic plucked trills and cascading melodies on the loutar, alongside swooping bowed lines and gentle pads on the ribab, a North African bowed lute. Recorded in Biougra, Morocco, Aziz’s performances blend Maghrebi folk music with contemporary global pop, fusion, and house influences.
Aziz Ozouss, a Moroccan multi-instrumentalist from Chtouka Aït Baha Province who lived in Agadir, studied traditional Amazigh styles like Amjak, Rwaiss, and Ahiyad, specializing in ribab and loutar. He released his debut album AMZWARO in 2016 and has performed at festivals across North Africa, Europe, and Asia, including the New Delhi International Jazz Festival.
