Stratus is instantly playable and user-friendly, featuring eight multi-layered piano and synthesizer matrices, each offering a unique sonic experience. It includes detailed customization options and innovative warped sounds, covering a full spectrum of emotion.

A Spectrum of Emotion

In collaboration with Ólafur Arnalds, our fourth project introduces a new, multidimensional instrument based on his acclaimed software. It features sophisticated MIDI algorithms that trigger a mix of straight and syncopated rhythmic patterns on two self-playing pianos. Spitfire has crafted an intuitive and interactive tool with unique features, recording full performances to capture the pianos' emotional, organic nature—adding echoes of movement to anything you play and inspiring new musical possibilities.

Instant Musicality

Stratus simplifies creating nuanced piano-based music from even the simplest arrangements. Designed to aid in music writing or completing a track or score, it lets you hold a note or chord and immerse yourself in unique clouds of harmonic refractions and rhythmic performances. These elements swell, evolve, and fade at your fingertips, offering a range of emotions—from intimate loops and textures to intricate rhythms and expansive soundscapes.
