The latest release from That Sound, titled Nu-Funk Drums, is infused with a captivating groove and rhythmic flair. Often referred to as Nu-Disco, Nu-Funk is a dance music genre that emerged from the revival of 70’s funk, blending it with elements from 80’s synth pop and 90’s house music, all curated with a contemporary sound palette.

The central element unifying these diverse musical styles is the backbeat. Whether it's the buoyant funk beats interwoven among percussion layers or the robust 4-on-the-floor dance beats, the drums serve as the life force of this genre. Drummer/producer Ian Maciak, utilizing both modern and vintage drum kits, meticulously recorded this collection to offer a myriad of timeless grooves, compelling rhythms, and captivating textures that will set your composition apart from the rest. The package features an abundance of auxiliary percussion, hi-hat loops, and one-shot samples to enhance the precision of your productions.

It's important to note that this pack exclusively comprises drum samples. The melodic instruments featured in the demo are not included in the pack but are provided for you to experience the drums in a musical context.
