Lego Animation 2 tells the story of the first version of the series exactly five years later. Citizens notice a new threat to their city. Invaders named Lego Duplo have invaded the city from space and destroy everything in their path. The destruction is so fast that it no longer allows citizens to rebuild. The attackers try to keep Finn and Bianca away from the city's fighters by planting bombs and doing their own sabotage. This disaster has put all the citizens in trouble and created a kind of legacy apocalypse. The conflict between the city forces and Duplo's army continues and it remains to be seen what fate awaits the citizens.
