The inauguration of President Donald Trump and his recent policy announcements are having a noticeable impact on market sentiments this Tuesday. A number of major corporations have lined up to report their earnings this week.

In Asia’s trading sessions, the U.S. dollar experienced a decline on Tuesday, while gold surged to a ten-week high. Oil prices showed mixed movements. Meanwhile, initial indications from the U.S. Futures Index suggest a positive opening for Wall Street.

As of 7:55 a.m. ET, Dow futures had risen by 190 points, S&P 500 futures were up by 22 points, and Nasdaq 100 futures increased by 91.25 points.

On the prior trading day, Friday, key U.S. indexes maintained a strong upward momentum. The Nasdaq climbed 291.91 points, equating to a 1.5% rise, to reach 19,630.20. The S&P 500 advanced by 59.32 points or 1.0% to 5,996.66, while the Dow increased by 334.70 points or 0.8%, achieving 43,487.83.

On the economic agenda, the Treasury Department is set to conduct the six-month Treasury bill auction at 11:30 a.m. ET, followed by the 52-week Treasury bill auction at 1:00 p.m. ET.

Asian stock markets concluded Tuesday's trading with mixed results. China’s Shanghai Composite Index ended slightly lower at 3,242.62. Meanwhile, Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index ascended by 0.91% to 20,106.55. In Japan, the Nikkei average showed moderate growth, rising 0.32% to 39,027.98, while the broader Topix index edged slightly higher to 2,713.50. Australian markets experienced notable gains, with the S&P/ASX 200 index climbing by 0.66% to 8,402.40, and the wider All Ordinaries index closing up 0.68% at 8,652.70.

European markets are generally trending upwards. France’s CAC 40 is advancing by 8.32 points or 0.11%, while Germany's DAX has dipped by 16.94 points or 0.08%. The UK's FTSE 100 has fallen by 4.83 points or 0.06%, whereas the Swiss Market Index is up slightly by 2.10 points or 0.02%. However, the Euro Stoxx 50, which highlights major sector leaders across the Eurozone, has decreased by 0.14%.
