Celestial-inspired ethereal guitar soundscapes for TV and film scores, recorded at The Old Library studios in England. This library captures a cavernous guitar chain via crisp analogue gear, direct, and through two amplifiers and their cabinets, creating a wash of ambience. The four signals provide weight and flexibility in mixing, making the library suitable for powerful orchestral elements and contemporary ambient soundscapes.
Celestial Guitar's core includes minor and major chords, plucked and strummed with four diverse round robins. Richly sampled singles and harmonics feature five round robins, harnessing organic chaos for vibe and life. Bowed, tapped, distorted articulations, FX scrapes, and sound-design patches complement the core elements.
Celestial Guitar is the first in the Celestial Frontiers series, inspired by the cosmos. Each library's recording space will define the range, seeking expansive, expressive, and beautifully chaotic spaces to reflect the celestial expanse. The large reverb in my Pod Live provides the library's big sound, amplified through characterful pre-amps, warm tubes, and into the studio with close and ambient mics.
Ethereal and Contemporary After ten years of composing for film and TV, Celestial Guitar is a toolbox providing unique sounds that elevate the ethereal and add a contemporary edge.
Raw and Imperfect Bowed guitars retain their chaotic edge and shimmer in Celestial Guitar for a raw and imperfect sound. Multiple round robins for each minor and major chord offer variation, a feature beta testers enjoyed.
