This device converts image files into frequency spectrum data, offering a range of effects like unique filtering, phase manipulation, and sound generation. It can also embed images as hidden messages in your track's frequency spectrum. You can adjust the image's frequency scaling from linear to logarithmic and confine it to specific frequency ranges.
Each color channel can be tweaked for amplitude and phase scaling and can be positioned between left and right channels for precise sound control. In additive mode, positive amplitude depth generates sounds independently, serving both as an audio effect and instrument.
The image can be flipped, rotated, and inverted without editing. However, a reload button quickly updates the image from an external program for easy experimentation.
NOTE: Due to FFT audio processing, this device introduces a 2048-sample latency (about 184ms at a 44.1kHz sampling rate), making it unsuitable for live performances requiring precise timing. Consider this before purchasing.
