Willis Lease Finance Corp. (WLFC), a prominent lessor of commercial aircraft engines and leader in global aviation services, announced on Thursday its recent agreement with Pratt & Whitney for the acquisition of nine new PW1133G-JM aircraft engines. These procurements are anticipated to be finalized by December 31, 2024. Pratt & Whitney's GTF engines are renowned for offering up to 20% enhanced fuel efficiency compared to older engine models. They are certified for operation using up to 50% sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and have been successfully tested with 100% SAF.

This transaction, which approximately equates to $200 million based on Pratt & Whitney's projected 2024 list prices, represents a significant advancement in providing airlines with modern, high-demand engines. Pratt & Whitney operates as part of RTX (RTX).
