Description
Leading change can be challenging. Change is constant and learning to adapt to change or lead others through change is a process. This course will lead the learner through an understanding of the change cycle and how individuals and organizations progress through that cycle. Self-awareness is critical for change leadership. Understanding your personal reactions to change and then understanding how others react will enable you to be effective throughout the process. The course will introduce you to the Change Style Indicator assessment and give you a tool for effective leadership through understanding of self and others. Change styles are along a continuum including conserver, pragmatic and originators. Each of us will have a preferred change style. To effectively lead others through the change process, communicating through their preferred style will ease the transition. The course will engage the learner in the process for implementing change and which methods to use in various situations. There are several aspects within the change process that are consistent across all methods of change. This course will introduce the learners to the commonalities within each of the methods. Finally, there are more than 60 change methods that can be used when defining the strategy for change. The most important aspect for the learner is to understand how a method should be selected. This course will outline five categories of change methods and provide examples of the types of projects that fall within each of the categories. This course will include video and exercises to apply the knowledge that has been gained throughout the course.
