PlanSwift® New Features / Release Notes – Overview
PlanSwift is proud to announce that we have officially released an update to Planswift 11. This release includes improvements to upgrade installations, data migration workflow, and the ability to open a page in a new tab or window. Several bug fixes are also included in this release.PlanSwift 11 will have a side-by-side install as previously done so that customers can have the ability to have both older version and new major versions of the software, giving them the ability to move their jobs from one version to the other when they are ready to migrate their projects, jobs, etc over.
When PlanSwift 11 starts, it will detect if prior versions of PlanSwift are installed including PlanSwift 11 versions.
PS11 will prompt users to decide if they would like to import jobs, settings, databases (types, reports, lists) whether this is local or in a server, dropbox, etc. All these as options similar to PlanSwift 8 migration.
Improvements to the workflow to open a Page in New Tab or New Window
Introduction of an “AutoOpen” toggle that allows a user to navigate to different Pages in the list without them automatically displaying in the main window.There are three new buttons added at the top of the Pages window:
- Opens the selected Page in a new Takeoff tab (within the current window)
- Opens the selected Page in a new Takeoff window
- Disables the automatic loading of a Page when you click it in the Pages list. To open the Page, double-click on it in the Pages list.
